My name is Mohamed, I am Amazigh (Berber), and I come from a region where hospitality, traditions and respect for visitors are part of our identity. I grew up getting to know Moroccan culture up close, the customs of local communities and the stories that make each region of Morocco so special.
Over the years, my passion for meeting people and sharing the richness of my country led me to build my career in tourism. Working as a guide and organising trips, I realised that knowing Morocco goes far beyond visiting monuments and landscapes: it means discovering its culture, connecting with its people and living truly unique moments.
It was with this vision that Marrocos Passeios was born, a project created to offer private trips, personalised experiences and close, family-style service. My goal is for every traveller to discover Morocco in an authentic way, with comfort, confidence and freedom to enjoy every moment.
For me, every trip is an opportunity to share a little of our history, our roots and the hospitality that makes Morocco an unforgettable destination.
Get ready for a fascinating journey through Morocco, where vibrant colours, breathtaking landscapes and an ancient culture combine to create lasting memories. This 6-day itinerary was carefully designed to take you from the bustling souks of Marrakech to the majestic Sahara dunes, passing through imperial cities, lush valleys and Berber villages hidden in the mountains.
Duration: 6 days / 5 nights
Route: Marrakech → Dades → Merzouga desert → Fez
Your journey starts early, leaving Marrakech. First, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. On the way we stop to drink mint tea with a Berber family. Then we visit Ait Ben Haddou, a historic UNESCO ksar. After lunch we follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Dades Valley. In the evening you stay in a hotel overlooking the rock formations.
We start the day exploring the Todra Gorge. Its limestone walls rise up to 300 metres high. Later we travel through oases and traditional villages. On arrival in Merzouga you take a camel ride at sunset. Finally you spend the night in a luxury desert camp, with dinner and Berber music.
First, we wake early to see the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast we set off to explore the area by 4×4. We visit Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music. Then we visit Rissani and its fossil workshops. In the afternoon you can relax by the pool or try sandboarding.
Today we head north. Along the way we stop to admire the Ziz Valley. Afterwards we pass through Erfoud, famous for its fossils. As we climb, the landscape changes to apple orchards. Finally we arrive in Midelt, a quiet town in the mountains.
In the morning we cross the Middle Atlas. First, we stop at the Azrou cedar forest, where we see Barbary macaques. Then we pass through Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland. On arrival in Fez you settle into a traditional riad. In the evening you hear the call to prayer.
With a local guide we explore the medina of Fez. We visit the oldest university in the world and the traditional tanneries. We also visit the Bou Inania Madrasa and its beautiful tilework. Finally, there is time to buy spices before the final transfer.

Amazing experience in Marrakech and Sahara Desert/Amazing experience in Marrakech and Sahara Desert I would like to share here a travel experience I had in Morocco (Marrakech/Merzouga-Sahara) at the beginning of June now (2024). I decided after researching a lot of other reviews here and on Google, as I wanted to do the desert and Marrakech. I closed a package with the guide Mohamed. Despite speaking English, I found the opportunity to have a Portuguese-speaking guide in Morocco interesting. We closed a 4-day package for me and my daughter. From the moment we landed, Mohamed was there to protect and guide us. The tour was private in a 4x4 car, prepared for the desert. On the first day we stayed in a beautiful, fragrant, first-class Riad, inside the Medina. In fact, every day the hotels/Riads/tent in the desert were luxurious. Mohamed protected us from everything (the tourist cities in Morocco have a lot of people asking for money and wanting to sell you things for exorbitant prices). We participated in a caravan in the Sahara with dromedaries heading to the tents. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! The guide Mohamed met everything we asked for, everything we wanted, in our time. Mohamed speaks Arabic, Berebre (language of the desert people), Spanish, Portuguese and English and a little French. He sang desert songs to the sound of drums with other natives and was always paying attention to us. As we were two women alone, we were afraid, but the guide (who is passionate about Brazil) was our salvation! It's really worth signing up with someone trustworthy like Mohamed. These cheap day trips from Marrakech to the desert are crazy! There is a lot to see and experience, Morocco is very big!! Imagine being in a slow van full of people??!! Look... Ask Mohamed to take you to restaurants outside the tourist attractions. The experience becomes much more real and cheaper outside of tourist restaurants that only serve chicken: the small restaurants that Mohamed knows are typically Moroccan, very well served with bread, goat tagine with incredible sauce) much cheaper for three people versus the price of the tourist ones whose price per person (starter, chicken dish and side dish) is almost the value of the non-tourist ones for three. Best investment I've made in recent years. Thank you, Mohamed, for everything! Our tour ended today, 06/08, unfortunately. Tomorrow we will go for a hot air balloon ride (all arranged by Mohamed). We are very grateful for the patience, concern and education of this friendly Berebere. I recommend it with my eyes closed. You can trust Mohamed. I paid for everything in advance (06/05 to 06/09/2024) and Mohamed arranged all our stays, tours, purchases (only advice: prefer to buy turbans and dresses, Moroccan oil, drinks and bottled water in Marrakech, it's much more affordable. Mohamed has become a dear friend and we want to welcome him to Brazil, as it's a dream of his. You can trust him, because I think it's SO WORTH IT!!Publicado em Tripadvisor![]()
