Depart our 4 Day Tour Marrakech to Merzouga Desert from Riad after breakfast. Travel through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the breath-taking views through the Mountains. Stop in Tizi N’Tichka for a break.
At this point, noticing the captivating transformation of the landscapes, arriving at Ouarzazate, also known as Moroccan Hollywood as the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is the backdrop of many famous movies, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Walk to Ait Ben Haddou, which has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO – enjoy the history, architecture, culture and panoramic views; providing wonderful photo opportunities. Continue to Boumalne near the Dades River for a relaxing swim, dinner and an overnight stay.
Leave after breakfast to see Todra Gorge. The gorge is a result of natural forces: both the Dades and Todra rivers have carved through these limestone canyons, with walls reaching 300 metres high! Time to marvel at the beauty of the gorge and take photos. Continue on to the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi, Merzouga.
Enjoy mint tea at the Kasbah / hotel on arrival. From here, you will set off on your camel trek into the atmospheric Sahara dunes to enjoy an African sunset. Continuing our camel trek to arrive at a traditional Berber camp in the dunes to have an authentic Moroccan dinner, be entertained by desert drums, enjoy star gazing and spend the night in the desert camp. This is an evocative experience not to be missed!
Enjoy a Sahara sunrise, before the camel trek back to the hotel. Have breakfast and shower. Visit a community of traditional Gnawa musicians in the dunes and enjoy their music. Continue to the vibrant Rissani Market for an authentic experience, filled with the aroma of colourful spices. Leave the desert for an overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
Depart for Marrakech after breakfast, stopping along the way to admire and take photos of the beautiful scenery. Traverse the High Atlas Mountains, finally arriving in Marrakech where the 4 Day Tour Marrakech to Merzouga Desert ends.
